SUMMARY:Fairtrade Debate & Producer  Presentation
DESCRIPTION:Come and support this joint Fairtrade Association Birmingham/University of Birmingham event hosted by Oxfam Outreach Society.  Students from Holyhead School will lead a debate on the motion “This House believes that Free Trade provides the best means for attaining Fair Trade”. \nThe debate will be followed by a presentation by Sheena Varghese\, Director of Manarcadu Social Service Society (MASS)\, a co-operative of farmers who grow a variety of Fairtrade products including Arabica and Robusta coffees\, cocoa\, cinnamon\, white & black pepper\, vanilla\, cardamom\, coconut and ginger.  Sheena will talk about how Fairtrade benefits the farmers and help to improve food security.  The event will be followed by a drinks reception & networking. \nAll are welcome to attend.  The Business School is on Edgbaston Park Road (opposite the Guild) and there is plenty of parking available in the North Car Park on Pritchatts Road.
