Lots of children like bananas and will certainly be used to seeing them stacked high in our supermarkets.
This assembly for primary-age children uses role play to make them think about all those involved in the banana supply chain, who take their cut of the price paid for the bananas at the till, and how little of that money is left for the growers.
This is then used to introduce them to the idea of Fairtrade.
This activity is one of a range of resources for schools available from the Fairtrade Foundation.
